Cricketers to give online fitness Tests amid nationwide lock down

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to require fitness Tests of centrally and provincially contracted players online.

According to the source, the online fitness Tests will start from April 20. the top coach-cum-chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has sent the decision to all the players via WhatsApp. All players need to score 18 points in YoYo Test.

The plan doesn’t include long-running, skin fold Tests, gym, and fitness. These tests are going to be taken within the first week of June. The PCB confirmed that these Tests are a part of central contracts.

It must be noted here that earlier players’ fitness tests were postponed thanks to coronavirus outbreak within the country. All sports activities have come to standstill because the country is under lockdown. In March, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was also postponed thanks to an equivalent reason.
